FET Flagships
In a report from the IST Advisory Group dated July 2009 ISTAG the concept of FET Flagships has been introduced. FET flagships should be ambitious, large-scale science-driven and goal oriented initiatives aiming at unprecedented scientific discoveries and technological innovation that require essential transdisciplinary research and a federated effort by the EU, member states, and if appropriate, global partners. This has culminated in report which elaborates on this concept and illustrates it with preliminary descriptions of topics for potential FET flagships in Research and Innovation (FET-F) for 2020 and beyond.
The Commission has published a call for tenders (open to 11.11.09) to take the concept further including the selection of two initial candidates. For more details please click here.
