VPH2012 Theme Issue in Interface Focus
A new theme issue of the Journal of the Royal Society Interface Focus is available online (will be available in print: 6 April 2013). The issue, "The virtual physiological human: integrative approaches to computational biomedicine", was edited by Peter Coveney, Vanessa Diaz-Zuccarini, Norbert Graf, Peter Hunter, Peter Kohl, Jesper Tegner and Marco Viceconti. Call for papers: ICIBET 2013
The 2013 International Conference on Information, Business and Education Technology (ICIBET 2013) will be held in Beijing, China during March 14-15, 2013. REGISTRATION OPEN for 2nd Consultation Meeting on the ‘Digital Patient’; Barcelona, 26-27th of November 2012

The DISCIPULUS project, an undertaking established by the European Commission in October 2011 to set up a roadmap for the "digital patient" will be organising an open consultation meeting on the 26th and 27th of November 2012 in Barcelona, in order to inform the ‘Digital Patient’ Roadmap. And we need our community behind us.

This open meeting will call on worldwide experts within and outside the VPH community will identify and propose recommendations for the Roadmap for the Digital Patient. Views will be invited to discuss the outcomes of the First Consultation Meeting (March 2012) and to propose specific actions to update the draft Roadmap (http://www.digital-patient.net/files/DISCIPULUS_D6-2_Draft_Roadmap_final.pdf )

The registration for the 2nd consultation meeting opened on the 5th of September 2012 and registrations will be accepted (on a first-come, first-served basis) until reaching the maximum capacity of the room we’ve booked. 5th International Congress on Automation and Autoimmunity
The 5th International Congress on Automation and Autoimmunity is being organized by the European Medical Association and will be held in Brussels on 27th September 2012. The 1st, 2nd and 3rd and 4th International Congress on Autoimmunity took place in Brussels, Belgium in April 1995, April 1999, February 2008 and September 2010. All congresses attracted a large attendance. Participants included: immunologists, rheumatologists, researchers and clinicians, dealing with autoimmune diseases.
