VPH Events

Having already spent 9 months of its lifetime, ACTION-Grid Project is organising a project meeting to share and learn from our experience. This meeting will be a satellite event of a local conference, INFORSALUD, organized by the Sociedad Española de Informatica de la Salud (SEIS).

 The idea is to hold several round table discussions during the project meeting to be held in March 16^th, from 9 am to 6.30 pm, in Madrid (Palacio de Congresos, Castellana 99 – Madrid, Spain). This meeting will be an open session/conference where the ACTION-Grid Advisory Board and the members of the Consortium will have in depth discussions on the challenges and possible solutions to address these challenges behind the proposed topics. They have chosen a few broad topics where they think that exchange of thoughts and experiences could be beneficial for the project and the invited attendees. More specifically, they have identified the following four areas of interest.

1. ACTION-Grid: First European Initiative on Grid/Nano/Bio/Medical Informatics

2. Nano and Personalized Medicine: Convergence of Technologies

3. Challenges for translational research informatics

4. European Projects towards the Virtual Physiological Human: Modeling and Simulation
