3D animation programming position available June 2010 (Ref CF3)

The Computational Biochemistry and Biophysics Laboratory (CBBL) at the Research Unit on Biomedical Informatics (GRIB) is seeking a highly motivated computer scientist to develop 3D animation environments for biomedical and clinical research.
The candidate will participate in the Avanza-funded project ActivA (http://www.o2hlink.com/activa.html), which supposes a joint effort between industry, academia and clinics to develop new tools for the monitoring and treatment of cystic fibrosis (CF) patients. The task to be developed by the candidate involves the development of 3D animation environments related to clinical and basic research. The candidate is expected to be proficient in 3D rendering and animation with 3DStudio MAX and O3D.
The salary is 28550€/year before taxes, for an initial period of 12 months, starting inmediately.
The GRIB/IMIM/UPF is part of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park which, with a privileged location on the shoreline of the Mediterranean sea, constitutes one of the most exciting interdisciplinary research centres in Southern Europe in one of the fastest growing biomedical research regions in the area.
