Scientific grid workflow developer in the SHIWA project

Context

SHIWA is a European project is funded for 2 years to develop solutions for interoperability among grid workflow systems. The CREATIS laboratory uses grid platforms, in particular the European Grid Infrastructure (EGI), to support several medical imaging applications, including image simulation. To facilitate application porting, scientific codes are embedded in workflows that are deployed and executed on grids.

Workplan

CREATIS is looking for a scientific workflow developer to work in the SHIWA project. His/her assignment will be to deploy image simulation workflows on various grids using the technology developed in SHIWA, fulfilling the following main objectives:

  • To extend descriptions of image simulation workflows
  • To migrate simulation workflows to the SHIWA platform
  • To design a backend interoperability solution that enables portable invocation of workflow activities on multiple grids
  • To support users of simulation workflows relying on the SHIWA platform

Required

  • Master-level degree in computer science or informatics
  • Significant experience with application porting to grid computing platforms

Appreciated
