Scientific grid workflow developer in the SHIWA project at CNRS

SHIWA is a European project is funded for 2 years to develop solutions for interoperability among grid workflow systems. The CREATIS laboratory uses grid platforms, in particular the European Grid Infrastructure (EGI), to support several medical imaging applications, including image simulation.
To facilitate application porting, scientific codes are embedded in workflows that are deployed and executed on grids.
Workplan
CREATIS is looking for a scientific workflow developer to work in the SHIWA project. His/her assignment will be to deploy image simulation workflows on various grids using the technology developed in SHIWA, fulfilling the following main objectives:To extend descriptions of image simulation workflows, To migrate simulation workflows to the SHIWA platform, activities on multiple grids, to design a backend interoperability solution that enables portable invocation of workflow and to support users of simulation workflows relying on the SHIWA platform
Required
Master-level degree in computer science or informatics, Significant experience with application porting to grid computing platforms
Appreciated
Experience with medical image simulation, Knowledge of workflow systems
Conditions
Duration: 18 months
Expected start: September 2010
Salary: according to CNRS standards
