The CIBER-BBN is a Biomedical Research Networking Center in Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine which is formed by 50 research groups selected purely on the basis of their scientific excellence and adaptation to the fields in which the CIBER-BBN is active. It focuses its research on developing prevention, diagnosis and follow-up systems, as well as on technologies related to specific therapies with an emphasis on several aspects of Regenerative Medicine and Nanotherapies.
CIBER-BBN is an initiative in the frame of VI National Plan of R+D+i 2008-2011, Ingenio 2010, Consolider program, CIBER actions and supported by the Health Institute Carlos III.
CIBER-BBN lines of research: Multi-mode Diagnosis; Intelligent Devices; Tissue engineering based on scaffolds; Endoprostheses and implants; Molecular Diagnosis and Biosensors; and Therapeutic nanoconjugates and drug release systems.
