VPH2010: Call for abstracts by 17th May 2010! PDF | Print | E-mail

This is a reminder of the call for abstracts by Monday 17th May 2010 for the VPH2010 – the first VPH conference!

From 30th September to 1st October 2010 the Université Libre de Bruxelles will host the first of a series of  international conferences entirely dedicated to the Virtual Physiological Human: VPH2010.  This is a high level scientific event supported by the European Commission with key stakeholders to further establish the field in the clinic, in industry and research as well as with funding agencies.

We have thus far received lots of interest in this conference with submissions from different VPH disciplines from all over the world. As  expressed by the European Commission ‘This is the most important event for the VPH community. One of the objectives of the European Commission is to avoid the fragmentation of  research activities in this area. The VPH2010 is "the" event where Europe should show an unified approach in addressing these challenging research topics.’

The VPH2010 will be opened by a welcome address given by Zoran Stancic, Deputy Director General of DG Information Society. With other keynote speakers such as Aleksander Popel (Johns Hopkins University), Nadia Rosenthal (European Molecular Biology Laboratory), Norbert Graf (University Hospital of the Saarland, and Janet Thornton (European Bioinformatics Institute). There is also a large Scientific Committee of VPH Experts from many different domains which reflects the multi-disciplinary nature of this first VPH event.
