Strategic Consultation Meeting - Presentations now available!
The Strategic Consultation meeting took place on Wednesday, 29th September, 2010 at the Université Libre de Bruxelles Campus in Brussels. This was a public meeting with the aim of updating the VPH community on strategic activities. The meeting was also designed to facilitate discussion on the general strategic directions for the VPH community in the coming years.
Peter Hunter and Marco Viceconti chaired the meeting which saw presentations on the VPH Toolkit, VPH Infrastructures and VPH Internationalisation. The meeting also addressed the creation and implementation of the VPH Institute, discussed the consensus process on the ARGOS position paper - a new initiative to foster transatlantic integration of the VPH effort in Europe and the US- and saw presentations which explored possibilities for the VPH Future and Emerging Technologies (FET) Support Action. This public discussion will now provide the basis for the 2010 update of the VPH Research Roadmap (due at the end of the year), the document coordinated by the VPH NoE to channel the views of the community and to inform European Commission policy for this field.
