VPH-FET conference 27 June
As a result of the ongoing Internet discussions, VPH-FET has now firmed up on the overall structure for the Conference to be held on 27 June. We have decided to make it highly interactive in nature, and the day will be devoted almost entirely to a variety of live discussions in which all delegates will have the opportunity to engage fully.
The draft programme can be found on the conference page of the VPH-FET site here
The conference will focus on the 10 leading topics from the Discussion Forums (follow links from here). You can still influence which topics are finally selected by joining in these discussions now - the table summarising the schedule of topic discussions can also be found by following links from this page. The leading contenders form an ectectic set and currently include:
- a global reference system for human biomedical data integration
- a web of models
- transforming biological and physiological data across species
- modelling diseases as discontinuous variations
- visual analytics for exploratory analysis of complex result sets.
The VPH-FET conference will be different from any other conference you are likely to attend this year. If you intend coming to it and have not yet registered, we ask you to do so soon (it's free!!), so that we can ensure adequate catering arrangements and wifi access for attendees.
