3D animation programming position available November 2009 (Ref CF2)


The Computational Biochemistry and Biophysics Laboratory (CBBL) at the Research Unit on Biomedical Informatics (GRIB) is seeking a highly motivated computer scientist to develop 3D animation environments for clinical research.

The candidate will participate in the Avanza-funded project Activ8, which supposes a joint effort between industry, academia and clinics to develop new tools for the monitoring and treatment of cystic fibrosis (CF) patients. The task to be developed by the candidate involves the development of 3D animation environments related to clinical and basic research. The candidate will be
proficient in 3D animation programming with 3DStudio MAX, Lightwave, Blender or similar environments, and will have good skills on C/C++ or Objective C.


The salary is 28550€/year before taxes, and the project will last for 12 months, starting inmediately,with the possibility of extending for the whole duration of the project (26 months).


The GRIB/IMIM/UPF is part of the Barcelona Biomedical Research Park which, with a privilegedlocation on the shoreline of the Mediterranean sea, constitutes one of the most exciting interdisciplinary research centres in Southern Europe in one of the fastest growing biomedical research regions in the area.
